With Doozy for Android, you can make QSOs using your Android phone over D-STAR (DEXTRA, DCS, and XLX), without the need for a hotspot. Simply connect your ICOM ID-52Plus to your Android phone via Bluetooth and link up with your favorite D-STAR reflector or repeater.
Note: DPLUS (REF) is not supported, as I am blocked on all DPLUS reflectors. Because of this, I see no reason to implement support for that protocol.
Hardware requirements
- Android phone with version 10+
- ICOM ID-52Plus (Not other models!)
Key features
- Direct D-STAR QSOs: Connect your ICOM ID-52Plus to your Android device without needing a hotspot.
- Background Operation: Run Doozy for Android in the background. Remember to close the app when finished.
- Favorites List: Easily create and manage a list of your preferred D-STAR reflectors.
- Android Widget: Monitor QSO and reflector status directly from your home screen.
- ‘Last Heard’ Feature: Look up calls at radioid.net.
- DSTAR APRS(Experimental): Sent DSTAR GPS information to aprs.fi
- Switch reflector Switch reflector from your radio or Android phone
Pairing
- On your Android device, pair the ICOM ID-52Plus. ( Not from your ICOM to your phone! )
- Start Doozy for Android and switch the OFF/ON button to ON.
- After a few seconds, your radio is connected.
